Referring Veterinarians

Minimally Invasive Specialty Center for Animals

Information for Referring Veterinarians

MISCA values the trust you have placed in us to care for your patients and clients. Our aim is to complement your primary care rather than to replace it. We offer thorough specialty consultation, appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and detailed recommendations for your continuing care. We encourage you to call us for telephone consultations as needed for both mutual patients and potential new referrals.

MISCA also encourages referrals from other veterinary specialists in the Portland area –particularly oncologists, cardiologists, other internists, radiologists and emergency clinics— as they commonly recommend minimally invasive procedures to supplement their specialty care.

Referral Form

MISCA does not have an Emergency service or an Intensive Care unit; hence we do not accept walk-in patients, nor emergent or urgent cases unless specifically arranged by Dr. Reeder or Dr. Kuchenmeister. All MISCA patients must be referred for a consultation appointment prior to the planning of any diagnostic or therapeutic procedure. For patients whose post-operative condition becomes critical, we will arrange for transfer to an appropriate 24-hour hospital.
